Did 2.8 mile walk around the neighborhood. Did 1 hr. on treadmill at 3.5 mph (w/5 mins. warm-up & 5 min. cool-down).

Did Joyce Vedral’s Upper Body Fat-Burning Workout with 3#/3#/5# weights.  This is Week 1/6; Day 3/4.

Today was a banner day:  Went bicycle riding with hubby: We did a 20.8 mile loop trip, startin in Tiburon, at a regional park’s parking lot. We bicycles a few miles to “downtown” Tiburon, took the ferry to San Francisco. Disembarked at Fisherman’s Wharf, rode to Fort Mason, and thence thru the Marina to Crissy Field. I had not been there since the marshland restoration. It’s fantastic. So was the head-wind we encountered. Surprisingly, over the Golden Gate Bridge, it wasn’t so windy. Spectacular, as always, with white light reflecting off the ocean. Down to Sausalito thru Fort Baker, then along the boathouses and along Highway 101 to Richardson Bay. Only the freeway has a bridge over Richardson Bay, so we had to bike its entire perimeter to get back to Tiburon. What a spectacularly beautiful (although exhausting) ride. We are in training for our Vienna to Budapest ride along the Danube this fall.

Did 18 mins. Level 1 Hills on LifeCycle.

Did Joyce Vedral’s Upper Body Fat-Burning Workout w/2#/3#/ and 5# weights. Day 1, Week 1.

Did 50 mins. on treadmill, of which 40 mins. were at 4mph.

Would have liked to have repeated above, but ran out of time. (It’s close to 10:30PM, i.e., bedtime, right now).

Yes, it’s awful. I’ve been out of circulation for nearly a month. But, am starting up again. That’s what counts! Did over 2 hours’ worth of walking today: the 2.8 mile walk in our neighborhood (it was a chilly morning) and an hour on the treadmill at 3.5 mph. That’s not counting our after-dinner walk with Michael (feeding fresh green weeds to the donkeys) and my walking around town today, running errands.

Did 1 stint of 48 mins. on the treadmill, of which 37.5 mins. were @ 4.1 mph.

Tried to do a 2nd one, but was broken up after the 1st 23 mins. by hubby having dinner ready. Resumed to finish the rest of the 25 mins. Of the combined time of 48 mins., 37 were at 4.1 mph.

Did 2 walks around neighborhood, each 2.8 miles in length, second one after dinner w/hubby, who got home from work early & fixed dinner. W/Daylight Savings Time, this was possible. Yeah!

Also, did 18 mins. Level 1 Hills on the LifeCycle. Surprisingly, it did not feel like a great exertion tonight.

Did one 48 min. stint on the treadmill, of which 37.5 mins. were @ 4.1 mph.

Did 12 mins. Level 1 Hills workout on LifeCycle.

Did Joyce Vedral’s Lower Body Fat-Burning Workout, w/12/10/8 reps for each body part (skipped the calves). This makes Day4/4 Week 1/6 of her 24-day/6 week workout.

Absolutely nothing. (Had to drive into the City for a family event).

However, did my weekly “weigh-in:” 135.5 #

Weight training really does make a difference!

All right. Today I was dedicated.

Did 48 mins. on the treadmill, of which 37.5 mins. were at 4.1 mph.

Did Joyce Vedral’s Fat-Burning Upper Body Workout w/2#/3#/5# weights for 12, 10, & 8 reps, respectively. This is still Week 1, Workout 3/4 of this 6 Week plan.

Did the 12 mins. Hills Level 1 on the Lifecycle (training for early fall bike ride from Vienna to Budapest).

Did a 2nd treadmill stint of 48 mins., w/37.5 mins. @ 4.1 mph.  All of my workout goals were accomplished today.  That’s fairly unique.
